Gdańsk Water and Sewerage Infrastructure promotes drinking local tap water by providing an information service with detailed facts about its quality, origin, and the benefits of drinking it. Across the city, you’ll find public drinking water points, and many restaurants offer tap water for free. Learn more

Urban Greenery and Water Retention

With biodiversity and climate change adaptation in mind, Gdańsk pursues an active policy of rainwater retention and greening public spaces.Key actions include: creating pocket parks and green squares, building green roofs, planting trees in public areas, and developing rain gardens and retention basins that reduce flood risk and store rainwater.

Green Mobility

Gdańsk promotes eco-friendly transport, encouraging residents and visitors to choose sustainable options over cars. Event participants are encouraged to choose green mobility! The city offers:
- an 860 km network of bike paths, intersected by EuroVelo 9 and 10/13,
- the MEVO bike system (electric and traditional bikes),
- efficient public transport (trams, buses, SKM) with easy access to Sopot, Gdynia, and the airport.
