Tastes of Gdańsk is a project that combines culinary tradition with a modern approach to sustainable gastronomy. Dishes inspired by 19th-century Gdańsk recipes are prepared using local, seasonal ingredients, which means the menu changes with the seasons. The project is based on the principles of sustainable gastronomy—reducing waste and transportation impact, building consumer awareness, and promoting local producers to support the regional economy.

The project helps extend the tourism season in Gdańsk by presenting the city’s culinary offer as a year-round experience, aligned with the rhythm of nature and the availability of local ingredients. This allows visitors to explore Gdańsk in any season, discovering a variety of seasonal flavors—from summer fish and vegetables to autumn dishes with mushrooms, pickles, and preserves.

Participating restaurants in the project also offer catering services for events and business meetings – a great way to highlight the local character of your event and ensure a sustainable culinary experience. Learn more about the restaurants participating in the project
